The client asked me to design a logo and produce a minimal and stylish website to promote his art at his Night Light exhibition as well as promote his brand for the future. I realise using a signature for an artist can be rather cliché however it worked too well to ignore and it was personal to the client so that it would help him to stand out if done correctly. A good design doesn’t need to be drawn out and complicated and I believe this is a great example of this.
I had to keep in mind that I couldn’t be too extravagant with the design as it would distract from the artwork I was given the job of promoting. I also had to keep in mind that the client wanted to edit and maintain their site themselves and preferred to do this using html rather than WordPress, for example, so I had to make sure the site was component based so areas could be moved and adjusted and would still work correctly across different devices
